JCHS Homecoming 2014

It was Homecoming week at the high school this week.  Everyday there were different themes for the students to dress up and show their spirit.  Here are Emily and Brandon ready to go for "Disney Character Day".  Emily was Ariel (see her dinglehopper) and Brandon was Peter Pan.

And here they are all dressed up for "Decades Day".  The Freshmen were supposed to dress 50's and the Sophomores had the 80's.  I did find it kind of disturbing to see Emily "dressed up" in clothes that I probably would have worn at her age.  The earrings she is wearing are "vintage".  I found them in the bottom of my jewelry box.  I still remember buying them in 8th grade.  

Thursday night was the homecoming parade.  Brandon marched with the band (carrying their banner, since marimbas don't travel well) and Emily rode with the cheerleaders.  She was kind of miffed that they had to ride in pickups instead of on the fire truck like they did last year.  New safety regulations, I guess?

Friday night was the big game.  They won.  Go Jets!!
