More Birthdays

Natalie must be our favorite child, because for her 14th birthday we had a week long party at the beach with relatives flying in from all over the country to wish her well. (We called it a "family reunion" so that the other kids wouldn't be jealous. But we all know the truth, don't we.)

To keep up the charade, Natalie also had a friend over for a little celebration at home before we left. You can read about it on her blog.

Ten years ago, when all she would eat was yogurt and bread, and every day was a power struggle to see who really controlled the family, I would never have guessed what an amazing person would develop from that stubborn little Nat.

Natalie is a very talented artist and musician. She is creative and smart and loyal. She has a strong sense of who she is, and she is not afraid to be herself, even in the face of ridicule. She is a good example for her younger siblings and a good missionary, often sharing her beliefs with others.

We love you NattiKat.

Yeah, for my birthday, I went to Girls' Camp to get all sweaty and gross. :) It was awesome though. We went white water rafting and horse-back riding and finished off with the best Walk of Light yet.
Quite a nice experience actually.
