We didn't have nearly as many Holiday concerts to go this season since we decided to drop the private music lessons this year and I'm not upset. Our schedule was so packed last year that something had to give. Emily and Brandon were both pretty eager to quit. I don't think Emily had practiced, outside of her actual lesson, for months and Brandon really only did piano because it was required to get into the percussion group at school. Natalie had a little harder time deciding to give up the formal piano lessons. She will always continue to play piano (She recently got called to be the pianist for the Young Women's organization at church), but one more year of lessons when she doesn't really have time to practice anyway just didn't seem to be worth it.
Here is Brandon's percussion group at their concert. I think this number was the best of the night.
