Forget poker and the stock market. If you really want to take a risk, try getting a good picture of our family. In my experience, a typical family photo session has all the elements that bring compulsive gamblers to the tables--financial risk, emotional drama, and the promise of a big payout. Like an old lady dumping quarters into a slot machine, the fact that I've already wasted a lot of time and money on bad pictures just can't kill my hope that our next family portrait will be the one. You know, the one where we all look like fashion models instead of like ourselves.
The odds of getting that amazing picture are not good, especially with my photographically challenged bunch. First we have Natalie, who despises getting fancied up in general and smiling for the camera in particular. Then there is Emily, our model wannabe, who hams everything up in an effort to look like a superstar. Follow that with Brandon pulling faces every time he sees a camera, and Bryce who curls up like a shrinking violet, and you have a photographer's nightmare. But, on Saturday, our family hit the jackpot. My friend Kim took pictures for us, and they are incredible. I can't thank her enough. We finally won big.

LOVE the pictures Cindy! You guys really do look great. I love the one of your whole family in the grass, the portrait of Emmy with the one strand of hair whisping into the wind, Bryce with his tongue out, the Mark and Cindy pose, and...and they were all really great. Now the hard decision is where do you put all those great pictures.

WWWOOOWWW!! And WOOW how much the kids has grown up so much since Heather's wedding. Gosh.. there are so many beautiful and cool pictures. I love 'em! I love Bryce's tongue out with very pretty eyes. Loved Natty in black and white. Loved Brandon and Bryce close each other.. Even loved Emmy looked so cute in one of family pictures. Well you GUYS looked GREAT. :D
Okay let me guess...the cat is Brandon's, key's belong to you, is that a wolf? that's Natalie, glasses are Mark's, Tiger is Bryce's, lamb is Emily's.
Can't believe how much Natalie looks like Heather. Bryce's eyes are probably going to kill the girls in his elementary school. Emily's serious face was very grown up looking and Brandon seems to have aged quite a bit as well.
