Emily competed in her first level 7 gymnastics meet on Saturday. She was excited to finally be competing as an optional level gymnast--mostly because she got a fancy new leotard which was much cuter than the plain black ones she had in compulsories. She also had several friends from church and school come to see her compete which was very fun for her.
She did really well on floor, beam, and vault taking one silver and two bronze medals, but had some issues with the new harder requirements on bars and didn't place in that event. Overall she ended up 6th all-around.
Here are her new routines. Much to Mark's dismay, she still has the same basic floor routine from last year just with harder tumbling passes. He absolutely hates her floor routine music.
