4th of July

We had two parties to go to this year.  In the afternoon, we spent some time with old friends from Emily's gymnastics days.  They put on a huge party every year, and the kids look forward to playing on the zipline, buggy rides, and lots of goodies.  I lost count of how many snow cones Brandon ate this year!

After seeing the new Spiderman movie, Mark was eager to show off his own spidey moves on the zip lines.

In the evening, we joined some good friends from church for a barbeque and delicious desserts.  We were too lazy to trek into Madison to see the fireworks, but in the end it worked out to our advantage because Mother Nature decided to put on her own show at sundown in the form a long overdue thunderstorm. We ended the day sitting out on the patio watching the rain and the occasional pyrotechnics from a few brave neighbors.  Definitely a great holiday!
